Attitude in Action.

Bradley Farrell redefines real estate with his infectious positivity and unwavering dedication, proving that for him, “Hard work is just work.”

For most of my life, my favorite mantra has been "Attitude is Everything". How you respond (especially mentally) to any given situation or challenge will make all the difference in that situation becoming either a blessing or a setback. In recent years, I've discovered the importance of ATTITUDE IN ACTION. You can have the best attitude, the best intentions, genius ideas, and immense potential, but without taking ACTION, you're likely to never see the results and progress you desire.

I played basketball all through school and even played a year in Junior College at Davidson-Davie. My very last official basketball game was played in the Dean E. Smith Center against the UNC JV team. To play on that court was a dream come true. Go Heels!

At UNCW, I studied English Literature and Creative Writing and my love and appreciation for a good book has never waned. In recent years, I have found myself leaning more towards self-help and business development books.

Ironically, I started my CrossFit journey in 2017 around the time I began my real estate career. Many of my best friends and clients have come from the gym.

What better place to train myself for the inevitable challenges of life and real estate than in the gym, on the basketball court, or in the library/book store? I'm in the gym 5/6 times a week, I get my reading in every morning and evening before bed, and try to get some basketball in at least once a month.

I got into real estate in the summer of 2017. Earlier in 2016, I read ‘The One Thing’ by Gary Keller. Inspired by his words and career I slowly began to ponder the possibility of making a career change into real estate. I had always loved our home where I grew up and was incredibly proud of the house my dad built for our family (by himself). I always felt that it would be an incredibly rewarding experience to assist people along the journey of purchasing, building, or selling their home (in many cases, their largest purchase ever or the sale of their largest asset). My passion for helping people combined with my background in graphic design and marketing, gave me the confidence that I could be a great Realtor in time. I decided to make the leap into real estate in 2017 and haven’t looked back. It has truly provided me with some of the most rewarding (and challenging) experiences and relationships of my life.

I consider myself one of the friendliest realtors in this area, both in my relationships with my clients, but also in my dealings with other real estate professionals. I also try not to take myself too seriously and I believe I bring a sense of fun and harmony to my clients and the transaction (yes, real estate can be fun!). I’ve had many clients express their gratitude for my ability to put them at ease whenever they've felt overwhelmed, confused, or downright panicked.

Real estate is about RELATIONSHIPS. I've always understood that my relationship with my clients goes on long after closing. Compared to many other agents, who may approach the relationship as more TRANSACTIONAL, don't be surprised if you get a new close friend along with your new address.

Fun Fact: I was voted Best Personality my senior year in high school. I have certainly used my personality throughout my real estate career to overcome objections, obstacles along the way, and to sustain a working relationship long after we leave the closing table.

Each of these avenues (CrossFit, basketball, and literature) have taught me many incredible life lessons which I still use to this day, but maybe the most important and beneficial has been learning the importance of embracing the challenges. Get comfortable with the uncomfortable, because that's how you learn, improve, grow your muscles, and jump higher.
